[A6] Anyone actually doing anything?

It seems to me that this list is pretty quiet lately (except for my
periodic grousing). It would be nice to hear about something other
than the latest bug discovery (my guilty). Say, like your latest
programming conquest.

For my part, I recently got very good results putting together a
Farfisa combo organ patch, and was a bit surprised about how I got
it. A looping env2 served to emulate the "percussion" setting of the
organ quite nicely. But I needed dirt, so I added a miniscule amount
of analog distortion (which I generally HATE). Hard sync on OSC2 and
playing with OSC2 frequency and mix level gets the right amount of
harmonic added to the note. A small amount of noise and filter
feedback, and woila. Convert your expensive analog into a cheesy
Italian combo organ.

Now, if I could just get that wow effect somehow. I guess ENV1 is
the answer here.

A minor victory, but victory nonetheless. Anyone else done anything
lately you're especially proud of?
Mike
