dude, just hit "reply all" instead of reply.  then you can delete the 
CC's by hand very quickly if you don't want those people to get extras.

if your mailer _doesn't_ have a reply-all feature, you need a better 
mailer.  thunderbird is free and good, so is mutt.

as much as this feature of the list used to annoy me personally, given 
the list of reasons posted previously for its existence, i've just come 
to accept that other people know better and it really is a Good Thing.
