[A6] Andromeda, last of its kind?

It seems to me that the major synth companies are not planning to release
analog subtractive synthesizers anymore and the A6 is the last of its kind.
I don't know about you guys but I think that currently subtractive synthesis
is suffering with the current VA instruments out there. Technology is just
not quite there yet in my opinion. Emulation will surely be a lot closer as
time goes by but we'll have a time gap for a while. I really think IMHO that
we had better sounding instruments in the past than now. I also thought that
the A6 would sparkle interest again and a whole new bread of analogue
synthesizer would come out from the big players out there. I know the price
of real analogues would drop a lot if they were released by them. I wonder
what drove the market to the current direction. People now seem to care more
about features than the actual sound. Anyway, just my two cents...
