[A6] If MIDI notes are too short, dosen't play them. Also, does your display flicker?

yep. oddly though, the rate isnt fast, just the
'gate'. it is the metronome output of
a k2500rs. I tried plugging the midi out of the
K2500 into my K5000 instead of the A6,
and I can hear the metronome with no problems on
my k5000. Cable run is about 15ft.

nope

I'm not even in mix mode, but turning off
contollers, mods, etc. doesn't help.

Here is another odd thing: If I hold down the
metronome note(C4) on the A6 in LOCMID
mode(so it can get notes from the keyboard as
well as midi), I can hear the click just fine.
No pedals attached, or anything. Just the midi
input and the mix outputs.

Could anyone turn down their contrast knob and
see if the LCD display flickers any degree,
even if you arent doing anything? The backlight
itself dosen't dim, just like a subtle
modulation
of the LCD contrast.
