Well yes I can see why an A6 lover might really dislike the Nords. Little
story: The nord micro was my first harware synth since the korg ms20 way
back when, and i took a dislike to the nord sound after a while; it seemed
cool and hard, in fact I took a real dislike to all digital synthesis.
Interestingly now I have some real analogue again (A6, evolver, matrix, akai
EVW200) I am veiwing the Nord's in a new light (and also the yamaha fsr1 and
korg wavestation).

What i think about the nords is that the sound is almost unnaturally
detailed and that they are they are rather cold and stiff used as keyboard,
chord or lead instruments. But as truly modular windsynths, noodlers,
droners, landscape makers, pattern evolvers and rhythm machines they are
quite phenominal. For me they are amongst the very few hardware synths being
made today which truly extend the great legacy.

But if you WANT analogue and if like me you feel different in your gut when
you hear that real analogue depth and beauty then the Nord really is not a
good choice and will never sound right. Their strengths lie completely
elsewhere.

Richard
