Thank-you, the name was mentioned before but somehow it didn't sink in. 
  I've since been looking at the GEM Promega 3, and I think this thing 
is ULTRA sexy for a digital synth (I know, not really important, but 
still -- it shows they have a product they care about), and the hype on 
this thing makes it sound fantastic.  I'm definitely going to try and 
audition one.  Have any of you guys heard it?  I'd really like as many 
opinions as possible (especially considering most of you can make far 
more informed comments on synths than me).

Sorry, feel free to tell me to shut up ... I've just been really aching 
for a piano and reading about this thing has kicked gearlust into 
overdrive (would you even believe I spend 1-2 hours a day with the 
Frankensteinway patch?).  That it has a fairly light action is actually 
good since my right hand wrist is kind of screwed up.
