[A6] If MIDI notes are too short, dosen't play them. Also, does your display flicker?

Any of you people noticed that if the sent MIDI notes to the A6 are too 
short (ie. NOTE OFF comes right or very soon after NOTE ON), your A6 won't 
play them? Someone please try it out on your outboard sequencer, and see if 
you can get your A6 to drop notes, regardless of the patch.

Other than making the note longer at the sequencer, are there any possible 
work arounds? Messing with the envelopes didnt seem to help. I tried some 
funny business with the onboard sequencer and arpeggiator(messing with 
trigger sources, etc), but no go....

I also noticed a while back that my A6 display flickers when the contrast is 
set wrong, no matter if the screen is updating or not. Anyone else notice 
this?
