[A6] some interesting reading ,

Ok, I'm gonna get flamed here, but I have to disagree. I've played
several of the old AND new Moogs, and compared them to several other
classics. I have to say that of all of them, the fattest, smoothest,
fullest sounds I ever heard were from the Oberheim OB-Xa and OB-8
series. In fact, that's how I ended up buying my OB-8. I went around
comparing synths for a year and a half, before deciding on the 8, and I
have never regretted it. In fact, When I got the Andromeda, I was highly
disappointed in the sound, because I was so used to the OB-8. I was
going to sell my 8 when I got the Andy, but have decided to keep both. I
have sold all my other synths though. After all, I think I have the
perfect combo now. The deep smoothness of the 8, and the hellacious
power of the Andy. :)

I own a Model D (early from 1972) and it sounds great, warm and fat.
Obviously it doesn't sound like a C-III but still. I also own a Minimoog

Voyager AE and it has that moog sound but isn't near as fat and warm
sounding as the Model D.
