Heh... I can see it... a vintage computer market
for old plug-in users. :P 

I'm not a fan of virtual analogs in general, 
but even less so of plug-in synths. 

It's less to do with the sound than the medium of 
today's "live" synth performances. Laptops are 
finicky live, which is why so many bands just drag 
out the DAT instead. And frankly, I don't want to 
pay to hear a CD being mimed, I can listen to the CD
at home. At home the sound system and the beer is 
better, and there's less cig smoke to kill my lungs.
C'mon folks - learn to improvise a little. There -- 
there's my rant for the day. :)
