Tom -- good work! Definitely not quite a CS-80, but a phenomenal A6 patch.
Well, I have a CS-80 here in Toronto, Ontario, and I wouldn't trade it
for anything. (You're welcome to come and visit it if you like!)
Yes, it's heavy, and yes, it puts out a lot of heat and consumes a lot
of power. But it's playability beats any other synth I've owned, and
I've owned some of the best. Save possibly the GX-1, I can be more
expressive with the CS-80 keyboard than just about anything else. As
a result I don't find the Arturia softsynth all that motivating,
because the *interface* to it is just MIDI.
ObA6: My long-term goal is to work on a new MIDI conversion for the
unit, and have that drive my A6. I believe I can do a better job than
the Kenton kit, with some help from a certain Old Bird... ;)
