[A6] Newbie about to make purchase

Hello guys.

I have been monitoring this mailing list for the longest. Listening to
MP3's, and most recently the Moog vs Andy debate (historic).

Anyway, I would like to purchase one more synthesizer. I currently own a
proteus 2500, A kurzweil 2600R, and my lovely Omega 8.

Anyway, I would like to add 2 more synths to my setup, one being the
TEchnosaurus Selector (A or B models) and the Andy.

I would like to know, what should I be looking for when purchasing a second
hand Andy. Ive been monitoring this list long enuff, to know that there are
alot of issues with this baby...missing voices, batteries dying out.. and
various other buggies...

Am i better off buying a brand new version? And if I do buy brand new, is it
really new or factory repackaged?

Are these things still under warranty?
