[A6] controlling the A6 from an external controller?

I am working with a client who wants to use the A6 sounds but control filter
sweeps, resonance etc from a microkorg which he is using an arpegiator. I
have a few questions about this: Is this likely to work? Would the
controllers need asscociating individually? Would I need to convert the midi
into RNPM data?

I will connect the microkorg to the A6 via an Akai MPC4000, but I do not
that think that will convert the data.

How would you go about all this? Maybe just teaching him to use the A6 is
the best solution, but it is one he is resistant too, and he is paying the
bills...
