I'm sure Alesis would love to talk to you about Andromeda sales as well. :) I don't think its a big secret that the Andromeda is half the reason why Alesis is now owned by Numark.
So give it time. Hell be thankful that the Andromeda even came out. I'm in that stage. I think frankly today's synth market sucks, with every idiot going for computer plugins that (in general, there are exceptions) sound like ass... but still lusting for vintage gear. (There's a Micromoog on Ebay now at $810, which makes me scratch my head.)
I'm hoping Alesis will do well with its Ion / Micron (the Micron finally solving a problem I've had with VAs - they don't sound better to me than a Juno 106 at best - by offering a very good VA at a Juno 106 price. We'll see. My cynical side says half the techno kids will reject the Micron because they can't download cracked versions from DC++.).
Is the Andromeda finicky and have OS bugs? Sure. Well, other analog polys were the same way. Talk to an owner of a rev1 Prophet 5 or Memorymoog sometime. To me, the A6 is very giggable, I actually haven't had many big issues with the A6, the biggest is modulation / pitch wheel sticking between patches... I can still play shows with it in other words. Others may disagree for all I know...
For now, I'll accept any OS update they provide. I imagine Alesis's heart is in a different place. That's the way the cookie crumbles.
