[A6] mute transistors have gone out? [repost]

Hello all,

My name is Jeff and I am new here.   I have a recent problem with my
beautiful red A6, the only real problem I have ever had with it.  It
boots up and produces no sound.  I have performed soft and hard resets
to no avail.  A numark tech it could be the mute transistors have gone
out.  Any suggestions or similar things happen to anyone here?
