I agree with what you are saying but I think there has to be much more then
that. Your statement still misses the point for me. If what you were saying
was true and absolute, well, then, the same would apply to a digital synth;
a digital signal is recorded but then when it is played back it gets
converted into an analogue "continuous" wave.. Technically, ALL sound you
can hear is analogue, even if it comes out of a digital synth.. I believe
there is something more to do with how sound and waves interact with them
selves and eachother, something that perhaps we haven't found how to measure
yet. Or maybe something that isn't easily quantifiable.
