I don't feel I have a problem with the tuning. I tune the A6 five minutes
after start up, and then get myself some coffee. Then I'm finished with the
coffee I perform a second tune ca 20 minutes after start up and it stays in
tune.
I think some of the problems why people have problems with the tuning is
that they are not used to real temperamental analogue sizers. They are used
to VA sizers, workstations. I own a few analogue sizers e.g. Minimoog Model
D, Voyager Anniversary Edition, Prophet~5, Jupiter-6, Jupiter-8, OB-Xa,
Memorymoog and some more. I think the A6 and Voyager is the best staying in
tune. I don't have a problem with the tuning with the old vintage sizers.
just let them warm up for 30 minutes then tune and they keep in tune. I did
not have to tune my Mode D SN: 1737 for two weeks.
The worse sizer to stay in tune is the Memorymoog. sometimes the auto-tune
program can't tune a voice. J The fun part is that some days the Memorymoog
sounds fantastic and sometimes it just sounds great. I think that is cool!!!
