There are two parameters you care about.  One controls the keyboard, and 
is found under soft knob 4 (TXMODE) on page 1 (KEYBD) of the global 
mode.  The other controls the panel, and is found under soft knob 5 
(TXMODE) on page 5 (PANEL) -- as Demokid wrote.  They will either say 
LOCAL, LOCMID, or MIDI.

What do they say?  I'm sorry, but I didn't fully understand your response.
