Hi Andee and All,

I am working on updating the T&T document. It has not been completed
yet and therefore is not yet on the web.

_____________

What I am doing:

... Going through all the archives from January 2002 - present.
... Creating a Bugs / Features Request document
... Creating an FAQ

and this (quote from Chris):

... ///(7) A section detailing all the different places on the internet
where stuff about the A6 can be found. Links to the different Alesis
documents, different OS's (or just the latest), Boele's (scd's) patch
archive, the T&T document, the A6 case mods, the Yahoo groups stuff
(including Cyril's SoundDiver module ...), the code404 stuff, the
different ML archives, the A6 banker, samples of different A6 patches,
etc. etc. -- there's quite a lot of stuff spread around. People are
still buying this machine, so it's nice for new or potential owners to
have access to all that stuff.///

There are also a couple of other things I'm doing:

... I'm planning to redesign the T&T document. A couple of people have
requested it since English is not their first language and the current
document is a little hard for them to read. Since this is what I do for
a living, I can make it a little more visually appealing as well as
easier to read. I will have a couple of questions about that in the
next few weeks but I am not prepared to discuss it atm - please.

... I've also started a "Getting Started" guide / basic tutorial thing,
some of which I posted the other day in reply to a question. This will
be a document that will grow in time and be posted as it grows (and as
I learn). I'm hoping to get input from you all on that later. I'd like
to leave a trail for others if possible.

_____________

Where I am in the process:

I have extracted all the information from the A6 archives Jan 2002 -
April 2004. I still have some editing to do and putting it in the right
section of the T&T document. I'm working on that. As I've been going
through the archives, I've been simultaneously creating the
Bugs/Features Request document and the FAQ document. I have also
gathered many links and have found various A6 related things around the
web. I don't have an ETA as there is still a lot to do but it should
all come together at the same time and I am going as fast as I can.

Once it is ready, I will definitely let everyone know. I will upload
the document to my server and post a link here, and per your
suggestion, I will add it to my signature (good suggestion). The first
version I post may not have 'every' detail in place but the A6 archive
posts from Jan 2002 to present will be there as well as the FAQ and
Features Request, and as much of the other (7) as I have. After that, I
will be updating the T&T document as often as posts and information
calls for, probably monthly.

Once finished, there should be no need to ever have to dig through the
archives again.

The current valid T&T document is Chad Gould's 'Andromeda Tips and
Tricks' that Robert reformatted and can be found here:

FWIW, I really am enjoying this (put on Tangerine Dream and go to it)
and I have learned a lot. From a historical perspective alone it has
been fascinating reading. Heh, I feel that I have known many of you for
years. :)

Cheers,
Sioux
