[A6] Re: A6 Digest, Vol 106, Issue 6

Hello-

I think your anomalies are, simply put, non-anomalous.

To those in the know: Is this what they mean when they say "slow"
envelopes? I.e., slow PROCESSOR power allocated to governing the envelopes?

Yes, the clicking is, I think, due to the relatively low resolution of the
LFO (the remedial suggestion is that you loop an envelope, which has much
higher resolution than the LFOs). In other words, when they say the LFOs
are slow, I think they mean that they are "slow" as far as resolution (or,
processing power) goes.

The anomalies are normal, probably. I am convinced that just about anything
from an A6 is "normal," though, and that Alesis would probably tell you the
same, just to keep warranty repair requests at reasonable bay.

If you use a fast sine wave LFO on the 2 pole filter (with about 80%
resonance) and play an upper-register key, you will hear this "clicking"
phenomenon again, probably. Do you?
