[A6] Re: Programme to Mix(not the same prog.)

It seems like there are 2 questions here. The first question is why program
sounds don't sound the same once you bring them into a mix. The second
question is why you can't get your effects to work in mix mode.

The first question...when you have a preset mix and you are bring a program
into it, you are not bringing the effects along with the sound. The mixes
have their own set of effects. So when you bring a program into the mix it
takes on the effects that were assigned to the mix. Every program and every
mix has their own effects that were programmed into it. You can change any
of these and you can copy effects from one to the other. Page 246 explains
this. "Note that while each individual Program has its own Effects
parameters in Program Mode, those aren't brought into the Mix since there
aren't 16 separate Digital Effects and Analog Distortion sections."

The second question...Did you (1) follow the instructions on page 246? and
(2) did you make sure you were sending effects to the proper channel(s)? As
it states, any effect other than send or pan applies to the entire mix, not
the specific channel. If this doesn't help you, tell us exactly the steps
you took so someone can troubleshoot where it went wrong.

I'm guessing at both of these. My apologies if this is incorrect.
