Hi Everyone,

When I first bought my A6 and had questions I accidentally met someone at
the Alesis corporate office. He was extremely helpful, very concerned, and
followed up with a personal phone call. I have been extremely busy the last
couple of months but have been meaning to chat with him about support for
the Andromeda. Today I finally did.

My main concern is the current lack of proper tech support at Alesis for the
Andromeda and also a seeming lack of interest in general support. He
listened very intently, as I knew he would, and assured me that he would
speak to the right people about it tomorrow. I believe that he will do
everything in his power to make it happen.

He agreed that currently there is no one in tech support who knows the
Andromeda. The tech support part of the company moved from their Cal. office
to their Rhode Island office. When that happened, they lost the only A6 tech
support people they had. The people there do support other Alesis products
quite well. He agreed that they need at least one person who knows the
Andromeda inside and out. It seems to me that finding a qualified person who
is interested would be a little difficult. If anyone here is qualified and
interested, do call Alesis and ask for the head manager of tech support.

I would also like to see an Alesis tech support person stop by this forum
occasionally to answer questions that no one else can answer, such as
Robert's issue about sending mixes via sysex. Obviously he couldn't agree to
that at this point but he is going to come visit the forum so maybe that
will happen in the future.

I also asked about an OS upgrade. Hopefully an answer will be forthcoming.

Finally, I suggested that they post the code404 forum on their support links
page. LOL, the way I found this forum was crazy. I did a Google search and
found some pages where people had given their opinion on the A6 a couple of
years ago. Fortunately Oliver, Gerald and Proto answered me and directed me
here. Thank you guys!

I also suggested that they put this information on the support page. I got
it from Chris and have noticed that it is a FAQ.

>they sell the Pretec 2 MB SRAM Card SN5002-P

Finally, let me gush a bit and say that the Andromeda is the Jaguar (I would
like one of those) of synths and this forum is a life saver. I know I speak
for everyone here when I say thanks to everyone who makes it happen.

Cheers,
Sioux
