Hi Brian,

We have the same objective ! THE A6 IS A FABULOUS SYNTH BUT IT COULD BE 
IMPROVED !

The Dynamic voices allocation in MIX mode is not a bug but a WISH that 
will improve a lot the usage of the MIX mode, specially if you use it 
with a computer. If the A6 was powerfull enough to handle 32 voices 
that will not be a problem, but it is not !
You run into the voice limit very quickly as a sound may use many 
voices !

Today I use the MIX mode only on the 1st stage of a song, I soon I have 
a track ready I go in program mode and I write the audio to disk. 
hopefully I do not have to do this with all the other synth I have ( I 
use 3 midi interfaces of 8 ports each, I have 21 ports used ! )

Today as the MIX mode is not very well wrote, is Alesis could revise it 
to copy what is done on other synth, that will be great. THAT WILL 
IMPROVE A LOT THE A6

For those that have not been going into the problem I will explain :
- In MIX mode, if you want to use a program that uses the internal 
sequencer, you must define in the 'MIX' that you allow the midi channel 
XX to use the "internal sequencer" this is not very strait forward ! 
this should be transparent to the user !
- There are parameters in the MIX number that should be moves to the 
GLOBAL section or the other idea is to have a "COMPUTER" mode where you 
define once for all the behaviour of the A6 when it is driven by a 
computer.
- Not being able to use the effects in MIX mode is not very nice !

Handling 4MB card is not a bug it is a WISH too ( I have one where only 
half is used ;-(
