[A6] Extrernal signals and feedback

Hi,
I have noticed that V15 and V16 inputs don't work they way Mike Peake suggested. When you route an external signal to these, they are supposed to function as a switch: mutually exclude the oscillators in favor of the external signal. However this is not the case as the oscillators are indeed present in the prefilter mix; they're just silent.
On a similar topic I have noticed that when you feed a signal into the A6, its level is much too low compared with the level of the internal sound sources. Do you use preamplification prior to sending a signal in the A6? Mine was coming from another synthesizer with its volume cranked up. There was this kind of ambience and some noise (S/N ratio here?)
When the above signal passed through filter 1, with only highpass level turned up, resonance fully counter-clockwise and filter feedback on, there existed self-oscillation but it was introduced VERY abruptly and this happened only the first time. I turned fully counter-clockwise the highpass level and then back on and it was OK. Switch filters and the problem is about to occur again. Before self oscillation begins there seems to be some crackling noise and something's telling me that this is due to the signal being external. I have never noticed this behavior with the A6 sources per se.
What happens when you want to filter the A6's VCOs with an external filter? Make a program, press the bypass filters button and then use one of the voices 1-16, use Mono Kbd mode, enable this voice in the Voice Mix, route the signal to the external filter, and then back to V15 or V16. Won't that exclude the oscillators which are necessary in the first place??? Can anyone clarify this for me?
Sorry for the length email. Thanx for any suggestions
Yannis
