[A6] More SRAM problems

Hi list,

just wanted to ask people who use PCMCIA cards with their A6 how long does the battery last. I have changed two batteries within 4-5 months and it seems to me that something else might be the case. When I went the battery back to the shop to get another one, they guy said that "there's not even a single electron in it, whatever you used it with sucked every bit of it!!!" The second time, the A6 reported that the card is 1MB (it is 2MB of course) and it messed all the patches therein. For no apparent reason, whatsoever. The card is from Pretec, btw.

As a matter of fact I lost two amazing patches that were sure to go to a recording. Both of them were patches that made the song tick, if you know what I mean. I tried to do them again and although I got close, that elusive quality wasn't there. So basically I've lost two songs as well. :-( ( arghhh... So, the moral is (at least for me anyway), never trust these cards. Actually I am saving all my patches as .syx files now. Oh, and I use the A6 banker, any other software refuses to work properly!

Other than that it is working perfectly, and I'd go as far to say that the analog-aging thing is kicking in little by little!
