For your info:

I've downloaded al banks from Alesis site and from the code404 side, and
saved those into SoundDiver libraries.
After that I did put them all together into one big library.
There were quite a few doubles. What I did: with doubles where only the
volume seemed to be different I have deleted the ones NOT from the
factoryset. These were mostly sounds in the Rob Papen, Pim Schilperoort en
mr. Kehew(? I am at work, do not remember his name for sure) banks. We are
talking about 20-40 double sounds.
Doubles that did differ in sound did get a "1" and "2" addition behind the
name.

After that process I started categorising the sounds, I have done about 400
so far.

The categories I used until now:
Pads (all pads, strings, brass, filtersweeps etc.)
Keys (sounds that have a fast attack, polyphonic and playable like a
piano. Of course one can argue with some sounds about being keys or pads)
Drums (all drums and percussion sounds)
Arp (all arping and sequencing sounds)
 Acoustic (bells, chimes, guitars etc.)
 Bass (bass sounds)
FX (all sounds that are impossible or hard to play musically)
Misc. (for now, all the patches for use with the external ins).

To be continued next weekend...

:-) Regards, Boele
