I've used the tracking generator to scale keyboard CV to filter 
resonance for simulating traditional instruments (like piano, another 
tip for the archive).  I also use it to vary pulse width of a VCO from 
keyboard CV.  Works great.  There are times you don't want linear 
keyboard tracking.

One neat effect I've found with a looping envelope is to assign mod 
wheel to the looping stage times.  You get an LFO whose frequency is 
controlled by the mod wheel, and it's faster than the standard LFOs.  I 
did a nice Harley Davidson patch using this technique, the mod wheel 
being the "throttle".  Alas, it was during beta testing, Alesis changed 
something in the OS that affected my filter settings, and I never got 
the sound back :(
