I'm familiar with latex and used it a couple of years with
the LyX editor on Linux. I agree with you that *nothing*
beats the output of the lex compiler. The reasons why I
don't use it anymore is that it's hard to integrate lex in
the rest of the world that seems to think the M$Word is the
way to go. I tried al kinds of converters but none really
worked (on Linux).
I currently use OpenOffice on both my Linux and Windows
system. It has relatively good converters. I took Chad's
.doc source, convertered it to native OO format and went
from there. OO can export to PDF, HTML, DOC and RTF formats
(among others), and I'm happy with it.
As to your contributions, I simply hope that Chad is picking
up his work again. If not, I hope someone else (like you)
will, since being new to analog synthesis, I doubt that I
will qualify for this job.
