That's crazy that they have a patent on something that's part of the 
MIDI spec.

What's the best master *synth* keyboard out there?  For piano action, 
it's almost undoubtedly an 88-key Yamaha S-90 or Motif 8, not even a 
Kurzweil.  But I don't know about synth feel ... I read somewhere (that 
"tweakhead" website or something) that you can only get 76-key synth 
controllers.  What gives?
