I'm using the Roland/Boss one (EV-5).  It works OK, but seems to have 
something of an "S-curve" response, where the travel at the extremes has 
little modulation effect, while the travel at the middle of the pedal is 
*extremely* sensitive, so that basically only the middle third of the 
travel is suitable for, say, filter sweeps.
