Well I hate to rag on such an innovative product and a couple of years ago I would have probably lusted after this board. But now that I have just about every hardware keyboard I can handle, I have to agree that the sound of the Neuron sounds like it comes from any well programmed Rompler/Sampler. At Namm I closed my eyes while someone was running through the various presets and could not distinguish this board's sound QUALITY from any of the other big name romplers. I did get to try out the editing and assigning joysticks to the plethora of parameters for immediate user control. But unlike the Andromeda/Voyager, the sound just didnt do it for me. It does remind of my wavestation and IF I were shopping for a sampler/rompler, I would consider the Neuron Instead (big time). But at this point I cant see investing(devesting) in any more digital keyboards when soft synths are more economical. I can definitely see the Neuron as a future soft synth. Again the short time I spent with it at NAMM certainly does not qualify my opinion as anything more then just that. I will say that connectors on the side and 1 wood side panel looks really wierd to me. Sorry.
