I use Cakewalk Audio Pro v4.5 running on Windows 3.11 on an old 100Mhz 
486 with a Music Quest MQX32M card.  Works great.  Time to upgrade? ;)

I'm a big believer in the motto "if it ain't broke don't fix it"  Win95 
and newer gets in the way of MIDI so I kept WIN311.
