[A6] Mod Wheel Madness

I had to resolder my connections for mod and pitch wheel. Now I have noticed
that the pitch wheel is transmitting messages when i'm not doing anything.
This is usually solved by manually running tuning.. (even though I leave
autotune on.) When my pitch bend wheel was not soldered correctly it caused
freakish problems like you are reporting. I would also make sure to check
all your other connections while you're in there, but I'm sure you were
planning to do that anyways. :)

Subject: [A6] Mod Wheel Madness

I saw a post back in Febuary about this, but
I never saw what the actual problem was.

My A6 has started to get really flakey whenever
I touch the mod wheel. However, it's not just
the mod wheel now. If I try to name a patch, I
can use the <- -> Name knob and the 'Chars' knob.
If I try to touch the '0-9' or 'UPPER' or 'LOWER'
the screen starts to behave as if I touched the
mod wheel.

Same symptoms as reported before: jumping around
to random screen edits, values scrolling very fast,
LEDs flickering on and off.

I plan to go in and resolder the pitch/mod wheel
connections, but since it's more than that, I wanted
to ask here first.

Going into the panel diagnostics menus shows all kinds
of buttons and knobs being touched if I move the
mod wheel. The Pitch wheel and ribbon are stable and
report back correct values. If I repeatedly press the
ribbon hold button I can get the mod wheel to shut up
for a bit and then every other knob and button (including
the soft knobs mentioned above) work as expected.

thanks
