that is certainly not a bug but a concious design decision. and a 
very wise one if i may say so! 

i think it is possibly even mentioned somewhere in the manual that 
the designers decided to assign the lowest priority to display 
updates. Otherwise the sound engine could suffer performance wise if 
things got really complicated and/or fast.
