The cheap way is to swap knobs between the softknobs and ENV1.

Or you could try the Rogans at

Only problem is they don't stock the small 1/2" knobs for 1/4" shafts.

I scored a set of Rogans while on a business trip, they ran me $200 for the full
set.  It's an expensive solution, but the small 1/2" Rogans *do* react better
than the stock small Andromeda knobs.
