Err, mod the LFO frequency with an envelope, possibly in 
freerun mode? That allows for the initial delay, programmed 
in the envelope.

Another nice trick, if you can't spare an env is to use the 
portamento module, but you won't have a delay then. Switch 
portamento on, set it to Offset mode, use a high offset 
(e.g. 30), and make sure it doesn't affect the oscs or 
filter (from the portamento main screen). Now use it as a 
mod source for LFO frequency.
