[A6] New A6 Unit question.

I just got my supposedly brand new A6 two days ago and it's beautiful and so
far working flawlessly BUT I noticed when I was plugging in the midi cables
that the right most jack (when looking at the back, I can't remember if it is
in or out) is slightly recessed, like it has been pushed in a bit or something.
It's only about a quarter of an inch, but definitely not in line with the
backplate like the middle and left jack. It's still "straight" and when I push
it with my finger or plug the cable in it still offers as much resistance as
the other two jacks, it isn't loose in there or anything.. I'm pretty sure they
should all line up evenly with the backplate, I guess what could have caused
this is a midi cable being plugged into that jack and then the unit being slid
back against a wall or something with the plug still in the jack, that could
have bent it in a little, but it's supposed to be a brand new unit. Can anyone
comment on this? Are anyone else's plugs uneven? Could it have been an assembly
error? More to the point: Is anyone familiar enough with the guts of this beast
to comment as to wether this kind of "damage" is likely to have damaged the
contacts inside the unit (not fatally because midi is working) or is it just a
mounting bracket deformity?
I've had the unit shipped from halfway across the world so sending it back
would only be a last resort option.
Cheers.
-Andee.
