Just curious -- who on this list 

a) has the time,
b) has embedded software development experience,
c) has the equipment and environment necessary,
d) is willing

to do Andromeda OS development?

If no one fits the criteria, then there's no point in even
making a pitch to Alesis.  It might be a better use of time
to contact Alesis and see if they have anyone still in-house
that can do the development and then consider making a request
to pay for that individual's time to do another rev or two.

Based on the number of Andromeda owners that would be willing
to contribute, and the numbers of features/fixed bugs requested,
it might be doable.  Even if it was something the developer did
on weekends or evenings outside his normal daily Alesis duties,
at least he would be properly compensated for his time and
efforts.
