[A6] old habits die hard

Yeah. The A6 has a decent pro reputation and still sells (Phish is the
latest I've heard that has one), but Alesis is probably set up more for
making money on quick-sale home stuff. People don't buy $3000 synths off the
cuff, such things are reserved more for pros and sales are slower. 

I can see why they'd concentrate on other things myself. These type of
products don't do well in rough markets. Other big American music companies
are going through the same sort of thing (eg Mackie).
