Hi Pim,
I had similar problems with the pitch wheel.. I replaced it
but as I was taking it apart, 1 of the wires fell off and the other was
barely hangin on. The original soldering was not done well. Your problem way
be as simple as re-soldering the wires for the mod wheel.

Default prg. or not; lots of parameters are changed in enormous amounts. For
instance, the osc's freq are changed to the highest ranges.
Silly thing is, sometimes it's gone away for hours.
It just doesn't make sence to me because it is only the mod wheel which
causes the troubles. The ribbon is perfect, like the aftertouch, pitch wheel
and all knobs.
