To me, Sound Diver is nice for those synths which have few knobs and a
crappy menu system, in order to edit patches. Even then, I'm not so sure.
I've gotten used to cryptic menu systems like the DX27 after a while. The A6
does not belong in that category, it's intuitively laid out (though
complicated if you are not used to synthesis) so I wouldn't be interested.
Oh well.

[opinion mode on] No you can't. I've been playing around with Fruityloops
recently with some hard, heavy trance type stuff recently -- my opinion
hasn't change. Plugins can't cut it if you want *meat*. At least none that
I've tried. Plugins get nice and digital, true. Yes, Plugins are great for
pretty blips that take no space, which is great for some genres. However,
not all.
In fact, IMHO, certain electronic genres have sucked wind compared to what
they used to be -- due to the lack of meat in tracks, coming from people
moving from being MIDI nerds to PC nerds. Feel free to disagree, but that's
why I have an A6 eh? :) That's my opinion and I'm sticking with it. :) Right
now, I feel I get far better results, even in a loop-y ACID-y environment,
by sampling my two analogs (the A6 and the Waldorf Pulse Plus) for bass and
wall-o-sound stabs, or doing live tracks on occasion for pads.
