I actually own the sidstation, and it's sound IS unique, but it's not
impossible to get close with something as versatile as the A6. The
oscillator section of the MOS chip is pretty straight forward, although it
has 3 oscillators, the A6 can overpower it in the oscillator department
quite easily. Much of the sidstation sound is from the PWM, and thus you
should be doing PWM on the A6 if you are going for sidstation type leads.
The strange filter effects can possibly be emulated by running both filters
in parallel and switching filter 1 to something other than LowPass, but I'm
doubtful that you will get the exact sound of the MOS filter which is lofi
and saturates strangely.

The sidstation interface is easy to setup large amounts of modulation on,
and special effects just pour out of it. These sounds are not a challenge
for the A6. Noise effects might sound very different, because the
sidstation noise just sounds like it came off an 80's arcade... I don't
think you can get this sound straight from the filter section.

You can also try putting a bit-reduction effect on the A6 output, if you
want to further emulate the sidstation (and get closer to the sidstation
noise oscillator). I've tried this before, and the sound was very close.
