I knew I should have bought two! Still, anywhere else you find them they are
US$120, for 2 MB!! Bloody Hell! You get 256MB USB keys for less then that:-)

As far as I know, you can save patches with any software that can save midi
sysex data, I started using midiox but then found jsynthlib which I personally
like better. Both are freely available on the internet. The only problem is
that recalling saved patches from one of those programs involves a sysex dump
back into the A6 and even though I haven't had any problems yet, I've heard
that occasionally it can fail and you have to muck around with settings and if
you get a corrupt patch you may have to re-initialise and so on. Needless to
say it takes some time and all your PC and stuff has to be set up and running,
with a memory card, on the other hand, you just change banks and off you go,
it's as easy as recalling patches from the preset banks, that's worth the $70
in my oppinion.
