I was lucky enough to score my limited-edition red Andromeda off eBay from an ex-Alesis dealer for $3180 shipping included.  I experimented a bit and read and understood the entire first third of the manual.  Then I had spinal surgery.  I am nearly recovered and eager to jump (or limp) back into the giant curve of learning.  I generally produce drum'n'bass, but I love all electronic music.
