If you can get hold of a Control Synthesis Deep Bass Nine - sort of TB303 in a rack (but not as good) they've got a good CV/Midi converter built in. You can pick them up for about £100 second hand. That way you get a midi/cv converter, another synth and it works as an envelope controlled filter too..
