[A6] hello, anybody there?

Dave, I was tormented with the thought of sending it back for two weeks
before doing it. I figure shipping might cause even more damage. If it
wasn't for the "wonky key" followed by the shut down - start up OS
freeze up I might have stuck with it. But two problems; I figured it is
worth the hassle.
KC, They sent you a brand new one? They didn't repair your old one? I
hope they do the same with me. I don't think so though, I called today
and they mentioned it was on the bench. I Hope they have had other
repairs, even though it's Alesis I sent it to doesn't mean the repair
department has had to tear many apart. I know "stop being paranoid"
right?
Usually the A6 shows its problem quickly upon
purchase. I had a bad voice board in mine and 4 of
the voices were permanently out of tune. I had to
send it back and get a new one, but the new one I've
had no problems with and I've had it for about 3
months now.
Good luck.
KC

Yep. Mine has a wonky key, which I've ignored from the start since it
wasn't
worth the hassle of shipping it all over the place to get it fixed under
warranty. Broken PW on one oscillator, however, was a big deal and I
got
that fixed very easily by a voice board swap. Had the new board for
about a
year and it's still chugging along. I've mentioned this before but the
new
voice board sounds much nicer than the original. More full and creamy.
