[A6] LFO & Sequencer question from a newbie

Hi everybody,
I finally got my red A6 from Mr Pulver. Wow. What a great machine. But
I knew that already. I've read the manual twice, been through the tips
and tricks document which is amazing. It's great to see so much info
available and everybody should read it to get the most out of this
instrument. I can see that it's going to save me 6 months of twiddling.

Well I have a technical question for y'all.
I want to re-trigger an LFO every bar. Simple enough. But not triggered
from a note. It then runs freely until the next bar. Well I've tried
sending a CC (4). It works but only for the first note. The following
notes have no lfo. It's like the lfo is not global and each note has
it's own LFO despite the fact that I set it to mono. Is there something
I'm missing.

In a similar way, I want to use the sequencer to make patterns (with Vx
trig OFF) on the filter, on the decay whatever. I want the sequencer to
always start on the bar and re-trig on each bar regardless of what I
play, just as if I had an analog sequencer plugged into a CV. I've
managed to assign the seq to the filter and to get it to sync using
midi sync as a source, but the hitch is that the sequencer stops when I
play a new note and waits until the next trigger (in this case a bar).
It seems that the sequencer is doing something similar to the above
mentioned LFO and there is a sequence per voice as opposed to a global
sequencer that will run completely independently from the voices.

Sorry if I'm missing the obvious, but all I want is something like my
Doepfer MAQ 16/3 that Starts when you hit play , loops around until you
hit stop and that will always stay in sync.

Thanks for any help.

I'm digging the LFO's on this machine. The duty and phase are so cool.
Usually you get either one or the other but not both. I'm quite
surprised that hardly any presets go into the really modular approach
that this machine allows. I can't wait to make my own bank of twisted
Xpander like weirdness that this machine does so easily and that takes
me forever to do on my modular.

One thing I do find weird is that all the modulation amounts are
hidden. I mean if you want to Mod the filter you route it with a
controller and given the amount of mods possible it's only fair that
you can't have a dedicated knob. But it's a bit weird that once you've
patched your mod wheel and your ribbon your a bit stuck. I would have
thought that it would be nice to be able to use the 8 knobs to send
Midi A-H. Maybe I haven't really got the concept yet. Any suggestions?
Does anybody feel this? Maybe a fader box could be the trick.
Some guys I work with who bought one were complaining that it wasn't
very intuitive and as much as I love this beast it is true that this
probably a weak point. I mean an Arp2600 will do much less but one gets
to the point 10 times faster as far as modulations are concerned. Just
an opinion.

Cheers for now
Bruce KEEN
