Indeed! However, given how it works now I wouldn't be surprised if
it were something of a PITA to fix in the code.
One reason it might have been done this way is to avoid making the
decision of what range of requencies constitutes an octave. It would
suck if the light only came on for the exact multiples, since finding
those requires a fair amount of precise knob twiddling.
