i know that's a joke, but i'm going to rant anyway:

the d vs a argument gets a bit tired once one has been working with VSTis,
softsynths, etc.  I mean, it's great that the a6 has full midi control.
That's amazing for an analog synth, and it allows a $3000 synth to compete
with a $1200 one.  At the same time, I can run 8 instances of Absynth, a
$400 program, and do 10x more what either of these synths can do...

so in the end, i'm not a heretic, i'm just making the most of the
available technology.  and i advise others to do the same.  the "heresy"
mentality i learned from years on analogue heaven was the biggest
deterrent to actually finishing my music.  if you spend all your time
worrying about the tools you use to create it, you can't see the forest
for the trees, as the expression goes.  if your goal is to work only with
analogue because that's a requirement for your project, that's one thing,
but if you hold some anti-digital mentality and pretend it makes your
music sound any better than someone else's, you're only fooling yourself ;)
