Ah MC you beat me to it - I was hoping to have more done by the time I
showed everyone. Its a work in progress BUT here's some info:

a) Justin's black-on-blue beta panel
b) All LEDS are changed to RED (wanted to do blue BUT blue would have ended
up costing about $400 plus the cost of some resistors because they require
higher voltages, the reds cost me $15 :-) though they're not as bright as
I'd hoped so I may be changing resistors anyway. Lots of fun, unsoldering
and resoldering ~150 resistors :-)
c) WORKING at getting hold of a Blue LCD display!!! (anyone else interested?
:-)
d) Nice high-quality Oak endcheeks and accents
e) BUILT-IN 16-CHANNEL MIXER with pan and level for each of the individ
outs! - still working on how to fit this all together. May fit on top most
likely
f) I may incorporate a joystick as well, depending on space - but its
looking like a nogo for now. It'd be built into a Doepfer PocketElectronics
controller interface passed through the MIDI in, to avoid any electronics
issues :-)
g) The ribbon controller plays just fine for my needs ;-)
h) I called it the Aurora A6 - keeps with either a celestial phenomenon OR a
mythological naming convention, as well as keeps the Andromeda alliteration
(AurorA - AndromedA) - originally called it Perseus, but thought this was
better.

More pics to come soon. I FINALLY (after three weeks of looking) found
someone who sold good hobby wood stock in 13" wide, 2" thickness - which
apparently is pretty rare.

Now if I can just get hold of the Blue LCD....

yeah, there's just something about the sloped panel that is tooooo coool

I'm also designing wood endcheeks for the standard Andy so I may be selling
them soon (well, at least will make the plans available on the web soon :-)

Later
KRIS
